	It’s a Sell Out !

Twenty finalists took to the stage at the Carleton, Morecambe’s seafront nightspot, on Tuesday 13 June 2006.

The title Miss Morecambe 2006 was awarded to Laura Johnson (sponsored by VVV Health & Leisure Centre). Hammasa Kohistani, the reigning Miss England, helped judge the contest and crowned Laura in front of a crowd

of more than 250 people attending the event.

Laura went on to represent Morecambe in the Miss England contest held in Leicester in July 2006.

Second runner up went to Amanda Thurlow (sponsored by S V Travel)

Third runner up went to Hollie Sherriff (sponsored by Hadwins Volkswagen South Lakes).




	Final line up

The contest followed a three course dinner and VIP reception.
Mike Haywood, the Voice of 2006, performed for the first time at a major event since winning his title.

And a raffle was held the proceeds of which went to Cancercare.
